This is a very well constructed, sturdy cart. It was fairly easy to assemble. I did it myself in a couple hours. Probably would have gone faster with two people but is possible alone. It is solid wood (Not particle board or veneer) and the drawers glide very smoothly. The casters are very heavy duty and lock in place (although I removed them because it made the cart too tall and I did not plan on moving it anyway)[...] I researched many different websites and carts and this is excellent quality for the price. I even saw the same cart on other sites for a much higher price! I wouldn't hesitate to make another purchase with Mercantila

I have an older kitchen with virtually no counter space so the kitchen cart I purchased really makes up for that. I use it for food preparation, my expresso coffee maker sits on it and there's still plenty of room. I get many compliments from my friends on how nice it looks.

Just as nice as other portable kitchen islands that I saw at specialty stores for much more money. Rolls smoothly, great worktop. Love the height - just a bit higher than my countertops. Slatted shelf doubles as bottle rack. Easy to assemble, but it would be better with two people (I did it alone).
Delivery surprised me; I was expecting it to take at least three weeks and it came across country in less than a week. Packing was great, not a piece out of place.

It was difficult to put together, fortunately I have a son who is very mechanically inclined. We found that many of the pieces were not marked as the instructions said they would be. Also, the right drawer was crooked when finally assembled. We tried to adjust the drawer runners but it was cut incorrectly so the drawer front looks crooked when you look at it from the front.
